Spa Central Coast Pilates & Yoga

About six months ago my friend Kitty, of the Spa Central Coast here in A-town, opened a Pilates & Yoga studio in their old location with another friend and pilates instructor, Megan. We've finally gotten to take some photos for their promo material this past weekend.

I've started Pilates and is SUPER! If you have the opportunity to take classes on a reformer (machine) - try it, it works!
Happy Tuesday!

Madonna Inn

I've lived in the San Luis Obispo area for almost 4 years now - and I can hardly believe I've never shot a wedding at the famous Madonna Inn, until yesterday! We had a great time and I hope to shoot there more often, the place really is unique and has some quite interesting features, if you've never been, you must stop in for the experience....brace yourself, it's an experience! If you stop in around dinner time, you must have the filet, and if you're there for breakfast, they have the BEST OJ in town!

In the room we were in for the reception (I can't remember the name) there were paintings on the walls, murals, with flowers, hills, silent guests....I kind of thought it interesting, these silent guests have seen many years of celebrations, political dealings and more...

Amy & Don have been together for a long time (8 years!) but Thursday was their special day. Wishing you many years of joy, blessings and laughter - that one you'll never be without!

Palm Springs!
I know we're far from Veterans Day, but our recent trip to
Palm Springs Air Museum, makes me thankful for the freedom I have and also thankful for all the men & women it has taken to keep our country free. The Palm Springs Air Museum was pretty interesting. There are two large hangars, one hangar with WWI planes & the other with WWII planes and information. Then there was an outside are where you could tour a big bomber plane. I never knew about Bombadeers (might have spelled that one wrong) - that's one job I'd NEVER want! Here are a few shots of planes at the museum.

Since I've been behind in my postings (so much for my resolution!) I thought I'd post a few times in this episode.

Bridal Faire
On Sunday we had our annual bridal faire with one of the wedding groups I belong to: Central Coast Wedding Professionals (CCWP) It was a good time with old friends and new! My friend Camilla Burns won the Best Floral Design booth, always exciting to know a winner! Below you'll see our booth and a few others, enjoy!

I Love these bouquets, simply beautiful!

First Wedding of 2007!
We shot our first wedding for the year at Sycamore Mineral Springs, near Avila Beach. It was an initimate affair that was supposed to be an elopement but turned into a "mini" wedding with close family. Krista and Michael had absolutely beautiful weather - which was truly a blessing, considering you never know what you'll get in the month of January! Congratulations Krista & Michael!

2007! My top new years resolution is to update this blog more often, feel free to keep me accountable if I'm not staying in line! allyson@allysonmagda.com

I always enjoy engagement sessions as a time to get to know my soon to be bride and grooms. Mary Kate and Brian are very into riding, so it was only natural for us to incorporate their horses into their engagement session - we'll see if they make an appearance at the wedding too! Mary's family ranch is outside of Paso Robles and is gorgeous. The horses are named "George" (the brown one) and "Poncho" (the white and brown one) - he's a character and had his own little mini photo session. We were blessed with sunny skies and golden light....you can't tell it's was like 30 degrees outside!!! Brisk to say the least, my hands were freezing, but it was worth it!
